Last week, Steve Bot, Chairman of the I-94 West Corridor Coalition and other board members attended the Minnesota Transportation Alliance Washington, DC fly-in.
While there, they continued advocacy for 94 improvements and thanked stakeholders for their past support of all our projects over the last 10 years. In particular, they highlighted the efforts from the Minnesota delegation from last year’s appropriations for the I-94 gap project and 610/94 completion.
Members had the opportunity to meet with Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith for joining us at the recent 610 completion groundbreaking event and their support to make it happen. All of our representatives and senators expressed their strong continued support for improvements along I-94.
Congressman Tom Emmer not only expressed his support for our priority projects along I-94, but a commitment to continued improvements. Emmer also shared the work he is doing to avoid a government shutdown.
The Coalition also got the opportunity to chat with Congressman Stauber and thank him for his service to the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on behalf of all of Minnesota. The board discussed upcoming needs for future projects on I-94 including a Fish Lake Interchange, Naber Interchange, and ultimate expansion from Clearwater to Saint Cloud.
The I-94 West Corridor Coalition remains committed to working on behalf of our members to build and maintain relationships with members of the Minnesota Delegation to ensure our priority projects continue to move forward.
