This week, the Minnesota House unanimously passed legislation that frees up millions of federal transportation dollars available to be spent on roads, bridges, and other transportation-related projects across the state. This federal money, more than $300 million, was allocated to Minnesota through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
Transportation Chair Frank Hornstein expressed urgency in passing this bill saying, “By passing this today, we are able to get this money out in time for projects to be let for the beginning of the construction season.”
The bill now awaits passage in the Minnesota Senate. To hear floor speeches on this topic, click here.
